Welcome to Los Angeles, California
The City of Angels is a legend amongst cities, with its Hollywood Sign, Beverly Hills mansions, Venice Beach Boardwalk and Walk of Fame. But there’s more to this Southern California mecca than headlines and celebrities.
The sprawling urban metropolis is actually made up of a collection of cities, running from the Pacific Ocean to the San Gabriel Mountains, filled with bungalows and tar pits, skyscrapers to beaches.
Hear the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra at the Walt Disney Music Hall, see the L.A. Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, catch a concert at the Hollywood Bowl or views of the valley from The Getty Center. Kids will be delighted by Universal Studios and Knotts Berry Farm while adults play on Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard. And everyone loves a day trip to Catalina Island.
For a bit of old L.A. magic take in the Santa Monica pier, explore the Venice Beach canals, gaze up at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, or simply head Downtown. Here you’ll find inspirational civic architecture, Olvera Street with it's “Old Mexico,” and Union Station, a stunning 1939 railway station used in many films. Finally, head up to Mount Hollywood where the free grounds of Griffith Observatory offer some of the best views of the city.
Los Angeles has been making dreams come true for visitors since it started selling the “American Dream” in the form of sunbeams and orange groves in the 19th century. Book one of our Los Angeles photographers and experience your own dream, whether the bright lights of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Strip or the sunshine from Malibu to Huntington Beach.
